All I Want Is You

Contributed by lostforgood on Sunday, 10th August 2003 @ 11:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

The hurt I feel is so unreal,
I can't believe it comes from you,
The one person that made me oh so happy,
To be me and feel like I'm worth something.

I've got to tell you that I'm kind of angry,
Along with so many other emotions,
As I sit here I start to think,
Of everything that was between us.

I remember that one spring night,
Where we layed upon my bed and you looked deep in me,
And spoke those three sacred words,
That at the time I believed.

Now I see I was a fool.

I remember all the times,
That you would hold and kiss me,
Making me think that I need not fear a thing.

I remember the few nights,
That'd we'd park in your car,
And spend some time together,
Or maybe go for a moonlit walk,
And look up at the stars.

Why'd you lie to me,
You stole my heart away,
And now you've left me all alone,
To feel the pain each day.

Why did you tell me you wanted me with you,
You lied to me and I want you to know it hurts,
I think of you so very often,
And I cry myself to sleep each night.

Why must I do this?
I wish I knew,
I don't know what attached me so much to you. .

We spent so little time together,
We rarely talked on the phone,
We never went on a date persay,
And you hardly ever shared much about your days.

I hate the way you left me here,
Wondering what to do,
You just stopped caring,
But still you made me think you loved me .

Why did you ask if I believed you,
And tell me it was true,
If all along you were lying,
I knew it was to good to be true.

I hope you know how unhappy I am without you,
But you probably don't care at all,
So I guess I should start moving on soon,
I'm not sure how I'll do that at all,
Seeing as I'm so into you.

But deep down I want to go on,
So one day you'll look back,
And wish that you still had me.

When you see me with someone new,
I hope you will be the one that is sad,
And that you'll wish I was with you.

But right now it is I that has to get over this,
This feeling that I have in me,
I must keep going day to day,
And meet new guys anyway,
Although I don't want to do that....
Cuz deep down. . . . all I want is you

Oh that's so heart touching write. You poured out your emotions quite nicely. I hope one day he realizes what a loving person he lost behind. Best wishes dear.

This made me SO sad. I can't stand it when people throw the word "love" around like it's no big thing, because someone always ends up getting hurt. You really poured your heart into this, and it's so tragically beautiful. I hope you move on and find real happiness, because just from reading this poem, I'd say you more than deserve it.
