Somewhere in the storm

Contributed by crow on Sunday, 10th August 2003 @ 10:25:00 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

Somewhere in the storm
a little girl cries desperate.

Her world lost to her
on this brutal night.

Frozen tears
not knowing who would help
in wide-eyed fear if you could see.

An unexpected hero for her
she catches his eye.

Her heart pounding
as the tears melt away
somewhere in the storm
her hero warms her hands. Crow

[a five year old autistic child was missing]
from "things I see in the dead of night".

Crow, I was that little girl, and I cried and cried, and no one ever came to my side. I could feel the emotions inside her heart.
Oh, how I wish someone like Crow could have been there to show me the love
that I didn't even know!
Crow, you have touched the crevices of my heart past.
Such loving thought, kindness, and then peace!

What a beautiful note in the night. Hope you have many more!
