You hear cries so loud they shatter the night,
leave you chilled, heart pounding, fists clinched.
Night eyes looking in. All the corners are gone.
Shadows from the edge who speak of worth
in a paled and distant land.
Whispers so loud have filled the empty room,
leave you breathless and waiting for the cries that never were.
Night eyes what a cruel part they play.
