Enigma

Topic: Lifepoems

The only sure thing in life,
Is death,
The only sure thing in love,
Is separation,

When the very essence of our existence,
Is the only sure termination,
What is this life for?

We strive for riches,
Only to become poor,
We strive for remembrance
Only to become forgotten,

When the very things we strive for,
Are our only sure failures,
What are we supposed to do?

We look for one special person,
But they will taken away,
We look for one special moment,
But it will pass us by,

Nothing is certain in our lives,
But the constant flow of time,
Followed by a perfect end,
To a life, too short to understand

A little on the pessimistic side, but I guess we all feel that way from time to time, don't we? Good write.

Awsome write my friend. life is not all good, and you outlined this well, pessemist maybe, but i'd say more of a realist.

Hi KJ,
i am trying to sea your point, but its hard for me why?
because first you have to know your reason for being here on this planet.
Do you have dreams or vision for your self? life only bring us what we plan for
or think about alot.Be careful of the words you speak, words are powerfull good write.
power of life and death is in the tongue.

First off, Thank you to all those who've replied.
Sure, of course I think I was in a pessimistic mood when I wrote this. But I don't think I would of truly captured what I wanted to if it wasn't for that ;)

Words are powerful indeed Richard. I believe life brings us whatever it wants to, good or bad. Despite our dreams or visions for ourselves, whether they may be a replica of a never-ending fairy-tale or one of those horribly yet realistic life filled with pain and grief (or so that is what it seems).

Thanks for the positive comments, even though the write was oppositive of positive. :)
