A tough summer is ending
and a new schoolyear is beginning.
It'll be so new
and full of changes-
new people, new atmosphere.
She dwells on the negativity
and does not feel she'll
get through.
That is how it goes, though,
moving on, getting older,
growing up-
it's a difficult road,
paved with twists
and turns,
and an endless amount
of confusion.
This is life,
welcome to it-
some say it's what you make it,
I say it's how you take it.
You can take it bad,
fear losing old friends,
fear you'll never find love
or
You can take it good,
work to keep friendships-
even if it feels you're working alone.
And you cannot ward off love
or put yourself down-
that'll only chase it away further.
Instead, focus on
what you need right now.
If that is friendships,
fight through the tough times.
If you need love,
know you cannot force it
and know you deserve it,
then never stop seeking it.
Remember, you have someone
to talk with
and everyone faces this.
As I say so much,
this is the hell we call life-
welcome to it.
