I'm laying here waiting
For that one devestating call
The one that says
You've been in an accident
And are in critical condition
I'm sitting here hoping
These feelings are wrong
And you're just out with friends
Having a good time
Safe as can be
I'm waiting here
Wishing you the best
Dreading the day that these feelings are true
I can't stand the thought of you not being here
It brings tears to my eyes
Just thinking that if it were true
That was the last time i would hear you voice
See your sweet smile
Feel your gentle touch
And to think I didn't even say I love you
I can't just one last time
All these late nights
Trying to fall asleep
Yet waiting to hear the stairs creak
Make it back safely
I need you here
I can't handle that call
