DAD WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME SO SOON!

Contributed by dreadfulsuicide1570 on Saturday, 9th August 2003 @ 05:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

Dad where did you go,
this pain is something you'll never know
i blamed mom for what you did
i guess it was cuz you left when i was a kid

You never called me
to say happy birthday
and christmas just wasnt the same
cause none of those presents said ur name

You have a new wife
and some kids
you started a whole new life
i hope you think about what you did

i still have that scare on my face
i try to hide the bruises with lace
do you still drink that much
mom said your still a lush.

im sad that i have no dad to teach me things
like baseball
or listen to me sing
or even drop me off at the mall

your decisions and bad choices
reflected on me
i can still here the mean voice
and feel the belt hitting me

even though mom doesnt want you in our life
i still wonder what it would be like
would you hate me still dad
or everytime you saw me would you be glad?

Im so sorry sweetie *hugs* your father made your life hell. Sometimes the dream of a perfect father clouds what people are in reality. Perfect people are hard to find, I wish my mum left. The reality is that you mother loves you she is the one that brought you up and was there for you and Im sure she suffered in her own way. Embrace the good you have.
Take care

I am sorry you had to go throw that.
I wish no one has to go throw that in life.
No one needs that.
