Stolen

Contributed by GreenLady89 on Saturday, 9th August 2003 @ 02:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

My heart is no longer inside of me,
But laying upon the ground,
Still beating,
But not enough to keep going.

There are certain things a person cannot rob,
From my raging mind,
Some things must stay,
For me to be alive.

Take my technically prized posessions,
But do not take what you do not understand,
How can you judge,
That in which you are ignorant.

Give me back what is rightfully mine,
All I want is what I've had since birth,
The right to do what keeps me sane,
Let me be,
And it will be alright.

This is written with raw emotion. You speak as though it were a legacy; it's brilliant. So many can gaze in awe and nod in understanding to this masterpiece.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
