Necessary Warmth

spring has passed
along with any feeling
winter has arrived
far before it was counted upon
a hike up the steep mountain
in the bitterness of the winters' breath
my mind escapes and never returns
after the winds' harsh ravage
the iced lakes seemed more innocent
but their appeal is lessened by the frigid air
it makes me wish i were myself again
but i am no longer familiar with who that is
i need warmth to come again
to recover all of myself
tis only this one thing that can bring it back
tis the only thing saving my soul
for spring i have wished
for to me winter has lied
numbness has arrived
for my one wish of spring has been denied

Also great. You have a great way of expressing your feelings. I only wish that they were happier feeling. I wish your heart didn't cry.
Wishing for better days,
David
