Loving others with no love returned
Is something that I have learned
I have had many years of hatred cast
Not one moment of devotion from my past
I am a masochist,true
Yet I find ways to shine love unto all of you
Though I may not show you what I may be
You could at least show that you care about me
Throughout my horrifying existence nothing is felt
Being giving no feeling is the card i've been delt
The numbness is overtaking
The solitude is furthering my breaking
Not one glimpse of effection has been tossed my way
I just keep telling myself"maybe another day"
Though I know in my mind
That day I will never come to find
I am cursed to not feel
Even if the feeling is not real
I need to be shown
that my prescence is known

this is one of my very favorites. mainly because its such a familar emotion that a lot of people, myself inluded, have trouble wording. Just like all the others, its a great poem. |

Don't ever, ever give up hope. "Another day" will come. It will.
I like the poem. It is beautifully written, and the words that are spoken come from the heart. Your rhythm and rhyme are awesome. Don't give up writing.
Your friend,
