A Friend's Suicide

Contributed by TeenageEmoGirl on Thursday, 7th August 2003 @ 04:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I wish I could think of words to make it better
But I can't, you've heard all those words before
But don't you dare, don't you ***** dare
Pretend as if I don't care
Do you want to know what your funeral would be like?
If you decided to give into suicide?
The room would be filled with everyone who loved you
More people care than you ever knew
We can't let you die
No we can't just let you die
If I sit here and cry,
And tell you how much you mean to me?
Will it stop you from feeling so empty?
I know she hurt you horribly
And she was what you lived for
And I know how meaningless you feel
And that life just isn't worth it anymore
But I'd never forgive myself
If I had to attend your funeral at fifteen
Don't give in, even if suicide seems serene
You think you're playing solitaire
But I'm there, you're not alone
Don't you dare pretend I don't care
When my love for you has grown
I've seen you turn into someone I admire
So don't you dare give into the fire
I wouldn't be able to deal with another premature death
If you decided to give into suicide
So if it means anything to you at all,
Know that when you die, I'll be at your side
And at your funeral I'd get up to speak
Words unfitting for your eulogy
Because those words are simply words
And words can't express what you mean to me
So don't you dare give in
Come on and put up a fight
Cause if you give in to suicide
A part of me too will die that night

all I call tell you is that i hope your friend takes your advice and does know how much you care. i have had 2 friends die. one of suicide and the other we dont know if its was or not. the first one was the suicide and the other kid was his best friend. 17 and 15 respectively. it hurts so much to lose friends that have only begun to live their lives. Hope your friend gets the help they need.
