Thicker and thinner

Contributed by vincy on Thursday, 7th August 2003 @ 09:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I ask the winds
to take my words
to places yet unknown
through the tracks of dust
and memories of passage.
Places in the here now, past...future and all
from the ink stains and annals of creation
to the micro chips and galaxies of regeneration
I have arrived here with cautious discretion.
So far I have been riding the railways
within the train of life with all its strife,
I shall be meeting a dark stranger soon
a mysterious hero, death as we call it;the quietus.
I must again and again, without strain,
be alert and heedful to abstain from pain!.
Then again, there is the temptation of going insane
given half the chance to dance to my hearts rhythm.
I heard the deejay pull the plug, play a tune for me.
I shall submerge into this untempered chord,
emerge from a sleep beyond which the eyes can see
this prevailing mist,... a long stretch across the frets where the terrain is coarse, and the going rough,
to be smoothened over by the solidity of my resolve.
I assure you of this, and implore the winds urgently
to grant me this historically unprecedentad occassion
of transposing wholeness where it makes a dent,
way within...through the thick and thin of my dreams.

I am absorbed
----------------------------------
If transposition is your thing
Let's go from C to G
I think you'll find that life's the same
But then again, you'll see...
