Your peace was stolen long ago
they left you to think,
sad and alone
You thought up defences
built walls up high,
if only they saw the turmoil inside
The demon you face on too many days
not allowed to forget
nor free to complain
Quiet and shy down deep inside
acting protects you,
helps live this lie
Familiar rage lurks down below
Paranoia builds,
ready to blow
Latest victim takes a fall
will they turn away,
decide not to call
Another attempt to bring you down
they better reconsider,
I wont let you drown
Still you stand
so sad and alone,
for your peace was stolen long ago...
