Crow...

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Wednesday, 6th August 2003 @ 09:25:00 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Howling winds across the plains, carry wild cries of sorrow
I stand here in my woollen wrap, and shed a tear for my tomorrow
For the voice of this mysterious land, will never be the same
As the "crow" takes flight and returns, from where he once came

I will miss his gaze of curious eyes,as I pen my every thought
Watching as my time unfolds, with a gift to me he's brought
The kindness of his friendship, was always in my smile
As I would pause to watch in awe, words he penned across the miles

Yet today as I stand searching, listening the the winds of time
I do not see his wisdom,or the friend I thought was mine
There's a coldness in the air this morn',chilling to the bone
My only hope within my heart,is that the "crow" won't fly alone

GREAT SPIRIT if he must spread his wings, and leave without a trace
Guide him safely through his journey, and keep a smile upon his face
With a heart of canyons deep,he truly cared for all he touched
And GREAT SPIRIT,if you speak to him,Let him know I'll miss him...
" very much"
