Blame Game

Contributed by juliette on Wednesday, 6th August 2003 @ 02:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

You refer to it as a game-
The places I lay the blame,
When it is here in my heart
That I carry the shame-
Of a life filled with scorn,
Memories I have worn
Too long to let them fade-
Though they be tattered and torn.
Shadows you cannot see
Without looking deep into me,
With eyes visible to my rage
Why I can never just let it be.
I walk a tightrope of emotion
My one and only devotion
Swept violently from beneath me
Still I keep wishing and hoping-
For a road I can travel out of my own life
A dream that doesn’t wake me up screaming at night-
Answers to the questions branded forever in my soul-
A prayer that someday these demons retire and let me go.

Yes you have every right to blame those who hurt you.. there are some blind people around us who could never percieve the truth.
and they never understand the troubles of others....child.. my eyes are filled with tears..

Oh Juliette, how can anyone fault you for blaming others... you have every reason to do so.... I'm so sorry to read all this... you wrote about such a sad situation so beautifully..
Hugs

It's time you chased them demons away
rather than feed them and then expect them to retire.
Self pity can make anyone cry and if I were to seek
the justice I see due, I would resolve to vengeance
which opens up new chapters, more of the same.
Your worst enemy now is your memories, like mine.
'Sharp vinegar corrodes, destroys its' own container'
we are best forgeting even if forgiving may be harder.
