After All I've Done

Contributed by Jeff_Scott_Morehead on Tuesday, 5th August 2003 @ 11:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

After All I’ve Done

After all I’ve done,
You still sent your son.
To die on a tree,
To save a fool like me.
Why Lord?

After all I’ve done,
You still put the sun,
To rise in the sky,
To give light to my eyes.
Why Lord?

After all I’ve done,
And the times that I run,
Away from your hand,
Still in front of me you stand.
Why Lord?

Lord why do you care?
Why does your eye have a tear?
Why haven’t you given up on me?
And left me to be.
Why Lord?

I’ll never understand the power of your love,
And how you looked down from above,
And saw a lost sinner like I,
And yet you didn’t pass me by….
Why Lord?

After all I've done,
Yet you still sent your son.
Why Lord?
