LONELY TEEN

Contributed by AL on Tuesday, 5th August 2003 @ 02:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

HERE I SIT ALONE AGAIN
WAITING FOR TOMORROW
THE CLOUDS ARE HANGING VERY LOW
AND MY HEART IS FULL OF SORROW

I AM VERY FAR FROM HOME
AND KNOW BUT FEW PEOPLE HERE
SO I GUESS I’LL JUST CONTINUE TO SIT
UNDERNEATH THIS DINGY OLD PIER

YOU SEE I AM A ROAMER AT HEART
I CAN’T STAY IN ONE PLACE TOO LONG
I GUESS IT’S JUST THE INDIAN IN ME
THAT MAKES ME CONTINUE TO ROAM

I OFTEN LONG FOR HOME SWEET HOME
AND THE LOVE THAT I FELT THERE
BUT I GUESS I’LL JUST CONTINUE TO ROAM
FURTHER AND FURTHER FROM THERE

ONE DAY I HOPE TO FIND SOMEONE
WHO IS A DREAMER LIKE ME
SO I WON’T HAVE TO TRAVEL ALONE
UP MOUNTAINS AND TO THE SEA

SOMEONE TO SHARE THE BEAUTY
OF A SUNRISE OVER THE SEA
SOMEONE TO SHARE MY MOONLIT NIGHTS
AND BE LOVED FOREVER BY ME

WELL NOW THE CLOUDS ARE BREAKING UP
AND THE SUN IS PEEKING THROUGH
THE SKY IS SLOWLY LIGHTENING UP
AND TURNING A PALE SHADE OF BLUE

SO I GUESS I BETTER LEAVE HERE NOW
AND CONTINUE TO ROAM ALONE
UNTIL I CAN FIND THAT SOMEONE
WITH WHOM I CAN MAKE MY HOME

AL WINALL
