Lying face up in my back yard,
Gazing up at clear night sky.
Suddenly right between two planes,
A shooting star goes flashing by.
It shot from it’s tail
Red and blue flames.
The wish that I made
Bore your name.
Then suddenly there was a second.
And then there was
Three, four, and five.
I distinctly remember thinking,
It looked like the fourth of July.
Each star that flew by
Brought one wish.
Each wish I made was the same.
Your name now lit up the night sky.
As my heart is lit by your flame!
