Forgiven

Contributed by sk8er909 on Monday, 4th August 2003 @ 11:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Of all of the mistakes I've made,
I finally forgave.
I decided to forget my past,
For my happiness I saved.

Please do the same for me,
With all the love you said you know.
Please don't mention my faults,
So my true smile can finally show.

I do not want to hear your thoughts,
If they have to do with me.
For everything I've done to you,
Is not what you are supposed to see.

I have not been a friend,
I have not shown I can commit.
I have not lived to expectations,
Now my life just starts to fit.

I am willing to start over,
Show what I have for you.
I want to be so pure,
Make all this pain go through.

I want to be with my love,
Without anything to interfere.
Meaning some will just be FRIENDS,
And stay this way for many years.

There is no secret unheard,
For God has seen and heard it all.
People are the ones who think,
And talk and make me fall.

If you have experienced me,
Please look at who I am now.
Do not look at yesterday,
When my smile was a frown.

Thank you for witnessing,
My important day in life.
When I gave up on insecurity,
All this pain and strife.

Life can now be lived.

I like this poem alot. Its amazing. It has a silver ring of truth like that of a whimsical bell that makes your whole world shake. Errmm, that dosen't really make sense, but it was indeed beautiful.
