To bear the heavy problems,
You don't know how to face.
To be filled with dread and sorrow,
As the new day takes its place.
You wonder if you can handle,
The things to come today.
Or maybe by the grace of God,
Your mind can slip away.
To hide amongst the shadows,
Where nothing can find you there.
Would seem to be a blessing,
An answer to your prayer.
Don't turn away and tremble,
As the tears run down your face.
You bear the pains with valor,
With no cause to feel disgrace.
You want to start all over,
To begin a better life.
To bury the past behind you,
To be rid of pain and strife.
And yet you must go forward,
To take your lonely stand.
As doubts and fears assail you,
Will you ever understand?
The only way, you will ever know,
Is by forgiving, and forgetting,
And by just letting go...
