The Shaping of the Schlub

You may have heard that Doris died,
That leaves Sam without a bride,
Let's go help him throw out clothes,
and other things like these and those.

Now, Sam needs suits, she never knew,
how to dress him, he looked askew,
We'll get him shaved and haircut, too,
So he can face the world as new.

We'll teach him how to wash his shorts,
The washer, dryer, machines of sorts,
We'll take him to a place of dance,
We'll get his assets to enhance

Doris' jewels I saw her wear,
Not so fancy but I swear,
I would wear them to a bachelor party
If Sam would take me, I'd not be tardy.

That's how it is, the girls do worry,
Look what they did for bachelor Murray,
Got him a bride, in One, two, three,
That's what they'll do for Sam, you'll see.

I suppose it's right, the way they act,
I assure you there's not much tact,
Used in any of these cases,
Get Sam married is where the chase is.

It never occurred to them to phone,
Sam might wish to be alone,
Sam might wish to stay unmarried,
This way, he can be unharried.

Forget his wishes, it interferes
with the wishes of his peers,
These ladies cannot let Sam to be,
It gives their mates a 'tell and see'.

Poor Sam, I sympathize. =)
---------------------------------------
She was a pretty blonde, agile and deft
But my loved one turned around and left
For days and days I rained my tears
Until I realize I had lost my fears.

Because now it is when I look back
Thank God I never had a heart attack
For her voice would always get brassy
When I'd try to look at any lassie.

The best of intention so they say
They will marry him off come what may
So they don't see his tears
For the lost mate he had for years

So they pull him this way and that
Now he's wondering where he is at
Too bad they didn't just buy him a cat
