You say "kick him" but your legs are still
You say "love him" but your heart is chilled
You say "please him" but your hands are tied
You say "be truthful" but your words are lies
You say "hear him" but you interupt
You say "soothe him" but your voice is rough
You say "see him" but your eyes are blind
Only to your buyers do you take time to be kind
you say "help him" but your soul is stone
You say "I hear him" then you leave him alone
You say that loyalty is your definition
Where do you really stand, Politician?

I like your poem it has kewl rythm. It speaks out about how people tell others to do things that they themselves don't do. It relates to a lot more than just a politican. |
