Out of Touch

My hands are cold
They have spent enough
time reaching out .
My mind now enters a new plane,
away from all of the technology
that buzzed around me,
and left me wondering why
my calls were not returned.
Even though these self proclaimed
saints , whose hands are probably
dirtier than mine, are never out of
touch.
In fact the cell phone has begun to
resemble a newly grown appendage.
But when I am desperate,
and in need of some comfort,
and lose a little more dignity by
being the one who needs contact,
I always hear that same cliche,
"Oh I was just thinking about you".

I know that cliche well Lynn. You express your emotions very well and are always so insightful...write, write, write Lynn because you get better and better.
Love you lots
