Point the Finger

Contributed by MoonlitAngel on Thursday, 31st July 2003 @ 06:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I never thought we would be like this
That love could go so amiss
It's hard to feel this way, so misplaced
And it's all a waste

I know you love it but I hate it
And I refuse to fake it
You won't back down and I won't give in
Guess we're never gonna win

I'm so tired of the fighting
I just can't take any more blaming
I do nothing wrong but then
You point the finger at me again

I understand you mean well
But all it does is put me through hell
Maybe I'm not tough enough
But you don't have to be rough

So tell me how to take it from you
'Cause my feelings aren't untrue
You better decide if it's worth it
'Cause I'm fading bit by bit

How am I supposed to feel
When you always blame me and can't deal
With possibly being wrong?
How is that supposed to make me strong?
You're not perfect
So accept it
Just admit it
If you were, you wouldn't make me feel this way
Because it's your fault I do
That's right, the blame's on YOU!

I'm too emotional and oversensitive as well, so I know just how you feel ... if he loves you he will accept you the way you are, and try to bolster your confidence with words and small actions ... it can be so easy, but unfortunately men can be so blind at times and make things worse by not being understanding, but instead fighting. I hope he sees the light. Good poem ... Jan

dont ever say your to emotional thats whats part of your spark it means your alive. If you dont have that spark in your convictions then your light dims and soon turns dark. I know it sounds like bla bla but take it from me I know. Its hard to find that happy middle where sometimes you can agree to disagree. He does need to except this in you I feel its a postive thing in your character part of who you are.Hold on to your convictions!!

No guy is perfect and to want a guy that is is selfish. Relationships are built and strengthened through trust and through fights. If everythings all flowery and perfect how can u expect the relationship to grow. Furthermore you tell me not to be harsh and lay the blame on someone and look what YOU do. I smells myself a hypocrite.
