The Line Between Day And Night

Contributed by Dragons_Of_Rose on Friday, 12th July 2002 @ 01:33:11 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Trailing a distant terracotta horizon, wisps of golden glow and soft honey delicately blend
Faint cirrus overcast, dawning nights arrival, forming lights daybreak as serenity subsides and transcends.
Darknesses dew settles upon open arms, quieting the thirst and wilt of a petals tiny thorn
Smothering the warmth of sunlight's gentle trace, applying its ointment to heal and reborn.
Earths ground acquires midnight's stale dripping coal, concealing all within its craved rage
Capturing the stillness of a shadows departure, draining the veins of lights burning stage.
A small merging channel divides the contrast, of a charred shoreline and a rays warmth upon sand
Guarded by a figure of delicate proportions, taming life's cycle and mans time at hand.
Embraced with lights new dawning day, cheeks aglow with a diamonds touch of grace
Eyes reflected image of mornings dew, as sunlight gently touches the curves and peaks of her face.
Rustic bronze strands delicately flow with the warmth of the breeze, absorbing the moisture of its captivating shine
Tenderly caressing the ivory hue of her skin, seeking given moisture of darknesses trace of resign.
Bound among times frame and prison, she chooses to face the warmth and love of the light
To capture the emptiness of a souls creation, caught in the line between day and night.
