I Apologize
Like a thousand lightening bolts running through my head,
I now regret every word I ever said.
I spoke before I had time to think,
And now our friendship is on the blink.
I let my passion take over my mind,
But I couldn’t stop my lips in time.
I know I hurt you, for this I apologize,
To not take your feelings into concentration wasn’t wise.
You mean the world to me, this you surely know,
I just not always good at letting it show.
I know you’re grown up, and your decisions are yours,
And I couldn’t be trying to fight your wars.
You know I love you, and I’ll try to stay clear,
But if you ever need me I’ll always be here.
