God...

Topic: ChristianPoetry

i dreamt the strangest dream last night
i was all alone... not a soul in sight
when i was stirred abrubtly... from my resting place
didnt recognise the voice... but i thought i knew the face...

wiping sleep from my weary eyes... a familiar face i realised
i'm safe... i'm sound... to a welcome nod
for stood before me... was only God...

so i asked Him why... the world we know
is either fighting... starving and wont let go
to an ideal thought... that bury's dead
whos wrong?... whos right?..."He Never Said"...

Do's He feel ashamed... of the mess we make
is our quest for knowledge... to high a stake
are we to far gone... that we lost all sight
could we not start again... and maybe get it right...

He sat on down beside me... to explain some simple facts
that He dosent like to interfere... and paper over cracks
in His eyes were all equal... no matter race or creed
but He knows that we dont see like Him...to caught up in our greed...

It pains Him to see starving... when the food is there to eat
but sharings not a weakness... that the have alls can defeat
whats needed is more thought for...each and every soul
what goes around will come around... offer up your bowl...

To see the effort spent on war... He shook and hung His Head
countless millions sacrificed... offered up as dead
weapons of destruction... waiting to be tried
He said he's visit me again
and "we can count how more have died"...

He didnt preach... He merely spoke... calm as calm could be
i looked at Him and held my gaze... and He looked straight back at me
its ok... dont you worry... I created all this show
its up to me to save you all... from going down below...

MDM...
