The Dark Prt. 2

Contributed by RealCrystal on Monday, 28th July 2003 @ 04:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

It's funny how many people know the feeling of pain,
Like the pain of having no birthright for years,
The pain of useless tears,
Because no one is there to hear
the cries of my mind,
that pound in my head all the time.

Living in the sorroundings
which are filled with drug dealings and merciless killings,
The chill of fear disappears,
along with the innermost feelings.

After you hear this poem
I guarantee you'll see a different me,
And think twice about what you say to me,
Because I speak of a life that most do not know of,
Because were I grew up, in the streets, the dove of peace is killed by a 9 millimeter
and pinned to the ground with a switchblade,
Atleast then you won't be the only one laying in the shade.

Many ask for peace,
But you would be suprised with the amount that really try to reach
For the thing that is so out of our boundries,
That it scares me.

And my theory is that
humanity will forever continue to kill humanity
With the ignorance and stupidity,
With the deaths that are just so petty,
And the deathly inventions that are suppose to protect us
That only delete us.
With the food that is wasted by the rich,
When more than hundreds of thousands of people cannot eat.

Many say man is the victor...but only those who beleive in GOD will have the victory,
And soon man itself will soon be history,
Because even the thought of death is a mystery,
Like a mystery of why some aren't natural...why some are caused by bullets and stab wounds,
Like the mystery of why some babies are killed by drugs while they are still in the womb,
The mystery of why some are forced to the ground while in the privacy of their own room,
Like the mystery of why it seems the dark is our doom.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
