Don't judge me. . .

Contributed by Nate on Monday, 28th July 2003 @ 01:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

judge me if you want,
i do what i know,
if it wasnt for your generation of men who raped and killed for our freedom,
i wouldnt grow,
if it wasnt for those fathers that taught us how to hate,
i wouldnt know,
now judge me,
if it wasnt for the mothers,
that never wanted their kids,
who tossed them out didnt care if we lived,
who didnt care if we ate dinner,
only cared for their men,
i wouldnt sow,
those same men who left me and my kin,
i wouldnt sin,
if it wasnt for those people, that make our choices and teach hate,
maybe i could walk down my street and feel great,
now judge me,
walk a mile in these raggady ass boots,
be the one gettin shot when i scream dont shoot,
be the one shedin tears while people break promises to you,
be half the man i am,
i am lettin you know,
it is the stuff you say that makes me grow,
that i learned off of,
you paved my path,
so dont get mad when i say kiss my ass,
dont get mad when i tell you,
that you aint ***** you see,
and last but not least,
dont get mad when i tell you dont judge me,

dont judge me.. .

hey, this is the 2nd of your writings I've read and seems you've got talent to find very good and fitting words to speak your mind (Y)
I think ppl shouldn't judge the others...coz you can never know what made the others to act the way they have done. But I think we should tell opinions..just coz we are humans and we live among other humans (and the rest better not to be mentioned...). I think you were right and I believe in fighting back! Eventhough you sound proud and mean, I liked what you've said...thumbs up!!

hahaha, NOW I have proven myself to really like this poem! I was browsing yours and go attracted by the title and read and and when I was about to post a comment, I, with a great surprise, noticed that I've already done it, haha :D:D but I read this again and I like it...well, I would just add that ppl tend to judge others...it's coz we compare ourselves to other pl around, that is kinda normal. And if someone's bad, then it's not relevant to make excuses like "this is what I was taught to be like" coz we all can work on ourselves and if we try, we can be better, it's all about will to do smth for a change.
