mermaid

Topic: fantasy

as the tides wash over her mermaid body, she fights to return to sea
she hears the ships horn and her heart is filled with glee
for she knows that her new found love was among the crew
all she wanted was a moment, a glance or two
she knew it was wrong, for they where from two strange worlds today
but let him see me as a woman not a memaid she would pray
let him pull me up in his ship and take me for a ride
never throw me back to the bottom, like old memories to die
hold me close while his crew sings a song of two lovers
hold me , and kiss me as he has for no other
and when the day is finally blessed with a kiss
when she leaves she hopes he remembers all of this
and if by chance she could turn into a human before the sun fades away
then into her prince's arms she would always stay
