Butterfly's Flight

Contributed by yellow_sundragon on Saturday, 26th July 2003 @ 07:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Two yellow butterflies,
Spiralling around each other,
Way up into the deep blue skies,
Chasing around one after another.

I sat in the long green grass,
Watching them in their path,
It makes me think of your disease,
The beauty fills me with wrath.

Your world is so dark and bare,
Your eyes are filled with tears,
Heart's filled with despair,
Can't sleep for all your fears.

The only way you can see an end,
Is with the sharp edge of a knife,
It's only farther you descend,
Into your heartache and strife.

I'm so mad at the Fates,
For giving you such a dismal existence,
I hold onto my heart and wait,
Wishing I could cross your distance.

It's not fair that well I enjoy the sun,
You are left unseen in the twilight,
My heart and soul become undone,
As I watch the butterfly's flight.
