Your Promised Scrolls

Contributed by Dragons_Of_Rose on Saturday, 10th August 2002 @ 09:33:08 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

A purple haze of outlining mist, smoldered to blend with the blue
Green with envy the yellow is kissed
Branded orange with differences, red with rage its tip points to you

Encased within a CD rainbows reflection, your face on the computer screen surrounded by all
Forced to hear over, your words spout rejection
A knight once noble in silvers radiance, has now proven the wrath behind his hidden wall.

The red point now shadowing your brow, reflecting an arrow with loves burnt wings
Overpowering my will to never again allow
Banishing a forever promised love, untangling your grasp from around my heart strings.

Watching the sinking of life's forgiven rainbow, the true colors of Gods promised world
Drawing my strength to recover all that I've bestown
Leaving your tears to drown as your promised scrolls slowly shrivel and curl.

Amy, what you read that night was from an angry soul, angry because it began to feel as if you were using me, to just amuse yourself, that you never had any intention of fufilling your own promise to me, that you were comeing, if this is the path you choose, I bid you farewell, I promised you an unconditional love, and that's exactly what I gave, for not a moment of the last 8 months, did I truly doubt your intentions, I'm walking my own path now, I didn't reject you ever... but as you wish, goodbye

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
