A Little Bee

Contributed by Mick_Puttock on Saturday, 10th August 2002 @ 07:29:15 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

A little Bee sat on my knee
and yet it didn't sting
Instead it played to me a tune
to which I now could sing

Across my foot there marched an Ant
and with its plodding beat
it set the timing for the tune
the Bee and I did keep

Upon my head perched a bird
to see what we had done
Its merry high pitch chirping sound
adding to what was being sung

With all of this now going on
a thought came into mind
This beauty that is in nature
we should listen to... all the time.

BUZZ BUZZ said the bee ...Oh who'd I'd be if I could sing...would I screech or would I squeal...blast all windows from their sill...Would my voice get harsh and deep...Oh woe is me that just cannot be...So I shall keep my tune to me...BUZZ BUZZ said the bee...

HeHe....such a great poem this was Mick..I read it to my girls..they loved it...so did I :)

Aaah, Nature.
If only we could slow down the pace of life to the tempo and rhythm of the natural world.
