Tomorrow

Topic: Grief

Cheating
Lying
Stealing
Vandalizing
Cheating on your boyfriend
Lying to his face
Stealing his heart
And vandalizing it by snapping it in two
What THE ***** HAPPENED
Why say yes if you don't like him
Did he pressure you?
Did he persist with it?
No, he asked you one ***** question
The only reason I would break up with you is if you cheated on me
And what do you do on MY ***** BIRTHDAY?!
I've forgiven him, he has told me what he's done
You want to break up with me through a note?
I'm gonna explode on you with rejection
I'm gonna make you feel insignifigant
I'm going to make you cry
I'm going to make you want to die
I'm going to make you commit suicide
Sweet 16 they call it
I ***** knocked down my puching bag
It's chain is cracked and it's sides are ripped open
My hands can barely write this
There shaking so badly
My palms are bleeding from my clenching fists
My nails are stained with blood
And this music is only making things worse
I'm going to walk in that prison called school
Tell you off
And walk right back out
***** this *****
IT'S THE ONLY REASON I WOULD BREAK UP WITH YOU
YOU DID IT ON MY ***** BIRTHDAY
YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE GROUNDED FOR YOUR SPANISH GRADE
WHEN YOU WERE REALLY HANGING OUT WITH MY FRIEND THE WHOLE TIME
GROPING AND SQUEEZING
I'm sitting here rocking back and forth madly
My head is spinning with frustration
And I'm thinking of tomorrow
Tomorrow is the last day
Tomorrow is the FIFTH day
Tomorrow I end everything
Tomorrow EVERYTHING ends.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
