On The Other Side of the Screen #1

Contributed by Asatru on Sunday, 20th July 2003 @ 08:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

You don't need it,
You have an undying thirst,
But it needs to be replenished by something else,
Not your own blood,
Put that knife down, No, I typed put it down,
I can't do anything, I feel so helpless,
Why wont this screen get out of my way,
I know your on the other side,
Blood drenching from your wrists,
No, not there, Stop thats a vain,
Look at that mess, How much is that?
Is there really that much,
Call 911 NOW, I said do it,
I don't care where they take you,
Do it damnit, Since I cant,
Get this screen out of my face,
Let me see you, Why wont it move,
Your mother should be home soon, She better hurry,
Keep typing to me, Please, No come back,
Just a button, Any button,
PLEASE, *silence*,
Hello? Who is this?
Doesn't matter just take care of your daughter,
Tell me,
NOW,
Alright I've called the cops,
Now who are you,
Someone who couldn't help enough,
?
Just wake her up,
Alright, I hear the ambulence,
Make sure they give her blood immediatly,
Alright...thank you,
I didn't do anything.

I'm sorry about what happened, must have been tough for everyone. To feel so helpless is horrid, but to feel there is only one excape from the pain hurts more then the excape. Trust me. Take care and great job on the poem dude.

OMG! the sadness is so overwhelming here, your last line devastates me...i hope you are not feeling guilt that you couldn't do anything...as if the helplessness wasn't horrible enough for you to endure...there was nothing you could do other than what was done...i hope everything is better...i hope she made it and i hope that you feel at ease soon...hugs
kara
