Purpose

Despite of what I see
It's still a mystery
And I can't seem to find
The lock that goes with my key

The road is winding and it's long
It goes between right and wrong
Yet everything I do
Fits on one of those sides

Right now I've only walked a mile
So it'll still be a while
But I've already
Run out of hope

Although my journey's just begun
The moon's already replaced the sun
And now even that
Is fading again

I feel I'm drowning
In all the air that I breathe
I fear that death is
Retrieving his sword from his sheath

Finally I've arrive at the crossroads
Where do I go from here
Should I choose the hardest road
Or one that ends so near...

I continue to walk
But this time my eyes are closed
My heart is beating
And that'll lead me, I suppose...

And this is the way
That is is for many days
All I can do is to
Keep going that way

And on the day of my death
I open eyes to take a last breath
So what do I see with my last breath of air
It was the place I was searching for, brilliant and fair.
