i will be strung soon.
i'm holding the string.
you tie it tight,
to each joint its knotted.
this special puppet,
has more freedom.
more joints means expression.
but you control my moves.
i control my thoughts.
not a care in the world.
a puppet filled with life,
and these tight strings
and this rightful owner.
a lovely puppet.

And so lately I've been wondering
Don't objects have souls too?
If you've seen Cast Away, stop pondering
I got my point through...

To material, people can get attached
Yet materials have no hearts
I like the life in a puppet you hatched.
Sends the poem to the top of the charts.

hey talia, this is flatlandbob1 a.k.a. Nick, after reading this poem, I got the impression that you want someone to control your life for you, like you gave them the "strings" in a sense, but did you ever think that you would feel unfulfilled in life if you just gave up yourself like that? Also if you have "tight strings", then you are giving up on freedom, something that I think you wouldn't like. Hopefully this helps.
