A Moment of Weakness

Today,
a single tear escaped
trying hard to hold back,
but it was set free...
free from its impenetrable prison.
Pushing and struggling,
the unbreakable wall of strength and determination,
Release...
Beginning the collapse of bricks of pain,
the fall of the guards of sorrow.
It fell to the concrete below
and landed at my feet,
Shattered by the force of confusion.
Soon to follow was a flood of the river of despair
created by the tears left behind to struggle
to find their purpose.
They never wanted to be heard
nor felt
nor seen
But there they were,
exposed to all,
bearing their virgin-like innocence.

Tears tho belated
are sometimes mated
With salt and bandairs
Make wonderful pancakes...
