It's You!

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Friday, 9th August 2002 @ 12:36:20 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

How could you be so cruel
You treat me like I’m a fool

When all I’ve done is love
For you isn’t this enough

My heart you’ll have forever
Hurt you like this I could never

You wouldn’t give me that dance
Not a smile, a touch nor a glance

So easily you forget
How we felt when we first met

The electricity in our hands
How we dreamed of far off lands

You wouldn’t let me explain
Can’t you see I was only in pain

We are different now I can see
But does this mean you can’t love me

For YOU I searched twenty-nine years
Now all I have are these tears

I know I must let you go
But I just have to let you know

My love for you is no lie
You are all my thoughts until I die

Come back to me please some day
Next time I’ll not push you away

All our dreams for life we’ll discover
I don’t want to live it with some other

Nobody else will ever do
I believe my love it’s you!

Hi Penny, yes she knows wherever she is, she got my pathetic begging mails! But I don't think she believes because of what I told her about past relationships that didn't work out, but I tried to explain this was purely because I felt there weren't the feelings on either side with them which we had and I still have for her. But she obviously now doesn't hold such feelings for me! It's just I'm really struggling to come to terms with this, I'm too busy feeling sorry for myself, so why would or should she? She's managed to move on! The only real pain comes from her showing me with her actions, just how badly I've behaved in the past! I can't turn back the clock, but am I never to be forgiven for my past mistakes? Should I've kept my mouth shut or been honest with her, the latter because my really good friends made sure they told her over and over and over that I would never change, even though to me and my Mum and Her I obviously had! But then, they must've known me better than we do! I don't have any right to make her listen, so I don't try any longer, but I don't feel as though I want to move on, it took so bl**dy long to find her! It is such a waste.
Thankyou for asking :-)
With love
Dean

Dean, I can really relate to this poem. I have been there many times myself. I just hope that the relationship I'm trying to get into now will be the one that will last. I think that I have finally found my truelove. I am just having a really hard time trying to tell him how I feel, because I'm afraid he doesn't feel the same way. And I am also afraid of repeating past mistakes. I never want to end up in a relationship like I have had before. Great poem.

Hey Candice,

Forgive me if it's not my place to say but, and there's always a but!!
If you worry that he doesn't feel the same as you, and you love him, then you really are not believing in his ability to love you!

You should try and believe in him, tell him how you feel, if he doesn't feel the same then be friends!

You probably feel so strongly for him because you sense he believes in you and your ability to love, and it is all about sharing after all! If he senses that you believe in him, he's more likely to love you as you do him!

We don't have enough time to waste, do we?

This is only me talking from my own past experience, so it might not be right for you!

There have I covered my a##, don't blame me if it all goes wrong I mean! If it goes wrong for you then he wasn't the right one for you yet!

There is no worse regret than that of not taking a chance! I think Sam Neil said something similar to this in the film 'The Dish'!

Anyway take no notice of my inane ramblings if they don't sound right for you, I never do! I guess really I'm trying to teach myself that this is how a perfect world could be, if I listened! And many thanks again for your words of such kindness.

With love
Dean;-)

Dean, I think that I am going to take your advise and go for it, because my bestfriend basically said the same thing. Also it is not really that I don't believe in him, because I do it is really me I have issues with. I am really afriad to put myself out there again, because every time I do I get hurt. Starting with the very frist man I ever loved, he is the one my poems "He Beat Me" and "I Said No" are about. What my problem is; is that I am afraid to love again. But I probably just have to work through my issues before, I can truely love again with out fear, and I know that is going to take some time. Thank you for the advise.
