People everywhere lie cheat and steal
Everyone’s for themselves
Who cares how you feel
What’s wrong with people living in the world today?
There’s not a single person somewhere someone else doesn’t hate
Who said this is the way we have to live out our days?
Not me and if I could
I’d change everything
I mean wow, look at us, we’ve come so far
People are dying for no good reason
And we just bought a new car
Everyone has got an opinion
They love to share their “insight”
But everything goes wrong
When everyone thinks they’re right
This world is cruel. But I’m going to do what I can
To be the best person I know how and not stand
To witness hate and wrong-doing and not lend a hand
To change the way we’re living in
Because we have far yet to go
Maybe I won’t get to see the day the world’s at peace
But every single night I pray and I hope
