Loneliness

Contributed by youngpoet1989 on Thursday, 17th July 2003 @ 07:35:00 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Sitting here.....
In a cold cold room
Staring at these four walls
that trap me within
Sad and afraid
Defenseless and damaged
Sitting here on this
cold and silent wooden chair
Facing this black and lifeless wall
heart broken and torn
Nothing's there
No one's here
I am all alone
and I live a lonely life.

I take it your date there (1989) is your birth date, with such in mind I will tell you that loneless is something you will get used to. Either embrace it, or leave. Lonelyness is your choice. It's whether you want to be alone or not. Walk to a Denny's or such and start a conversation with a new person in the next table. Heh, me and my friends get the whole smoking section talking. All in all it is a good poem, heart-felt, it's how I used to be too.

At a young tender age life's trials seem unbearable, when faced with a break up especially. Feeling wounded and hurt, feeling as if that shattered heart will never heal, feeling alone. And although you may be alone, you are never lonely for long. Take comfort in the fact that these tests in life mould and shape us into a better person. The strong are those that learn from their mistakes... a very touching poem, right from the centre of your soul...thank you

Embrace your pain, rejoice your loneliness
celebrate the fact that you have choice
we're born alone, we die alone but during life
we do not have to feel and be lonely simply because
life is far too short, so why not make the best of it!.
