SLIPPERY LOTION

Dear Dorothy,
I really like your lotion,
I had no idea it would be so fun!
Your instructions were carefully read!
I tried to do everything that you said!
I must tell you though....
When I was exiting the tub,
I was singing, :"Rub-a-dub-dub!"
My big toe slipped slightly, and
I went thru the glass door above,
As I went down, I squashed my favorite dog...
Whom I dearly loved!
While I was down for the count of three,
In comes my other dogs,
and licked me "Lotion-Free!"
When I came to....
I carefully reapplied your brew.
As I turned to reach for my clothes,,
I slide onto the toilet bowl, and instantly rose!
One slipper went East,
The other one West!
I fell on the "Squashed Dog" and all the rest!
I was doing the splits,
When I slid down the hall.
The dogs were simply astonished....
They'd never seen such a fall!
I carefully crawled,
to the edge of my "love-seat,"
By now, I'll have to admit....
I truly felt as if I'd been beat!
When my son came home,
He looked at me and said,
"Mom you look awful!"
"What's wrong with you?"
"I've never seen you so black and blue!"
Off to the Drs we head,
"No bones are broken," the Dr. said.
"Don't use that lotion anymore,
Tomorrow you're going to be mighty sore!"
From now on when I shower,
and slip on the floor,
All my dogs race....through the front door!
"I'm almost out, could you please send me some more?"

Wonderful poem and a wonderful way to say Thank you to your friend!! Without laughs this life isn't worth living!! =O)
Seems to me this lotion works more than it should ;)

| LOL, I too have psoriasis and this made me laugh so much full knowing that we will try anything to rid us of the itch...could I have the recipe??...lol...I thoroughly enjoyed this! |

We all need to laugh more. As I was writing this poem, I could see all of it in my head! Was really funny if you can see it in your "Mind's-Eye!"

what a belly laugh of a poem
I loved it loved it loved it
and just the thought of the dogs....
would have been great on video...!
