Earth Mother

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Tuesday, 15th July 2003 @ 02:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

As the winters day falls to the west, she holds me cradled to her breast
Earths spirit dances in her eyes and sings an old Indian lullaby
Her hand held softly to my face I'm spirited to another place
Near a mountain stream that gently flows, redwood trees and juniper grows
There the eagle's soaring high, and in the distance...a lone wolf's cry
And there across the river behind me I can see
Many moons of memories calling out to me
I ask the woman what does this mean, her guidance now I truly need
She speaks of timeless moments and moments lost in time and
Peace that cant be found with two spirits in one mind
Search on not looking back on moons that have gone by
Walk with the warrior who holds your heart and you'll hear no lone wolf cry
Be faithful to your beliefs, strong in spirit, one in mind
Walk towards the morning sun, leave past moons there behind
As my spirit lay in the bosom of this wisened one
My fears vanish like winter snow, before the summer sun

This poem is so good. It captures the
mystical belief of people who live and
have lived in the surrounding of nature...

It is a dream that I needed to hear. I have been looking at past moons, I have had the whispers of a past love in my head, breaking my heart. I had not been looking toward the morning sun. I refer to a lost love as the morning light in a lot of my poetry, but failed to recognized the new day, always wanting the lost moments to appear at each sunrise. These moments never did. Now, she is leaving me and I am distraught. But your dream has opened my eyes. Thanks. I needed that. Maybe you are an oracle and needed to let someone like me know about your dream. Or maybe I'm just looking for a way out of this relationship without looking back. Thanks for the poem anyway.
Chuck.

I too found this dream to be my eye opener...and it makes me REALLY happy you have received something from it as well.I was in two minds about the situation I was in and after contemplating its meaning,I listened to the spirit of my dream...and walked on towards the morning sun.I dont believe you are looking for excuses to let go of the r/ship.Its more that you have seen the realistic value of not living in the past.Thank you so very much for reading and commenting...but most of all Im just thrilled you have gained something from my dream.Bless you and may the Great Spirit guide you. :)

Very good poem, I'd like the rhymes, the sound, and the quality of the themes that are nature and true.
