Mum...I Miss You

Contributed by LovingWhispers on Tuesday, 15th July 2003 @ 01:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

So many years have all gone by
Still everyday I think of you,
Every night night I cry
Mum do you know I miss you
I long to have you here
The emptiness inside my heart
Shows in every tear...
I wonder will you know me
If we should meet again
Since you've gone,I've realised
You were my best friend.
Many years will come and go
Always my thoughts will be
How very special you'll always remain
And how much you mean to me.
When my world is lonely and
I feel I've lost my way...
I know that I can carry on
For you walk with me each day.
I love you Mum,I miss you
There will always be this pain
Until I see your smiling face and
Hear your voice again......

I think its a very good poem with lots of feeling put into it. Keep writing you have a great style and you're not afraid to talk about real personal issues that many people can relate to.
