I've tried my hardest to let things go
But how long did you think I would let you lie?
You're always making promises to me
But then you never keep them
You've filled my life with empty things
Lies and falseness that crushes all hope
I hate how you smoke, I hate how you chew
I hate how you know just what to say to me
You know exactly what it is I want to hear
And my foolish self always believes your every word
Because that is how much I love you
But now you are making me choose
Over keeping you or letting you go
Both ways I am going to be pained
I just need to determine which hurts more
Having you but not being able to believe the words you whisper to me
Or not having you at all

Wow... that's quite the crappy situation you've found yourself in. Makes me wish I could help somehow. But I'm sure you'll find out on your own which will be better for you in the long run. And just for the record, what hurts less isn't always the right answer. More often than not, I think, if it hurts more, it's probably the right answer. But not always. So ignore that. lol. Anyways, great, emotional, honest write.
