I lie here where love left me among my shattered dreams
Empty in this darkness alone with silent screams
I search the many memories and float back through the haze
Of nights when dreams were plenty and light had filled my days
I'm frozen in this coldness,I wilt though not a rose
How can I warm this frightened heart for love again to grow
Time is for the healing,forgiveness for the pain
But for now I live in darkness,in fear to love again

this is a very emotionally engaging poem- sooner or later we all find ourselves in that dark place - we can only hope that love returns to our lives brighter and more beautiful than ever
