OTHERS HAD TO DIE

Contributed by Steeleyes on Saturday, 12th July 2003 @ 07:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: political

'US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has admitted that the US had no fresh intelligence about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before going to war.'

BBC - 9 July 2003

'Senior UK Government figures no longer believe weapons of mass destruction will be found in Iraq, the BBC has learned '

BBC - 10 July 2003

O/

Now the truth is coming out
Slowly through closed lips
Only because they know they’re caught
Like rats in a trap

Caught in a lie
That there were noble purposes
Caught in a lie
That it was for OTHER reasons

Now we see the true picture emerging
They slaughtered those innocents
Because they were ***** and scared
They did it because they FELT like it

They FELT like smashing
Those who annoyed them
Who opposed them
Who ticked them off

THAT'S why kids lost their lives
Had their arms and legs blown off
THAT'S why a nation was destroyed
Even though they had no defence

They wanted to show they COULD destroy
That they were not as weak as they had been shown to be
They had let America down
But would they admit it? Not them.

This was a political game
They were going to kill folks
To take your attention away from them
And away from your question: “WHY?”

For that

OTHERS HAD TO DIE

O/

Hey buddy,

All I hear from you is baaaa, baaaa, baaaa, baaaa, baaaa, baaaa, baaaa, baaaa.

And I always wondered why we had the whinging pohms name around our neck!

All I can say to someone so bitter is stop watching telly, get outside and do something with your so far pathetic life.

I was right and you were wrong, I was right and you were wrong, I was.............. Grow the f##k up! Do you not realise that it was probably only the likes of you muppets that were bothering to believe the politicians in the first place. This is why you feel so let down now, enough to beat your little triangle about a bit!

You have a right to a view but it's getting boring for me now, that's my view and you won't hear it again.

Fare ye well fellow human

With love
Dean:-)

I must side with Dean here. Im also tired of your rude remarks and bitterness. Your poems that you so generously use to condem my country and my President well you are no better than those that you cut down in these poems buddy. If you really believe everything you see and hear on television then you do have a serious problem. Your truth and mine are two entirely different things. Use your talent on something other than slandering the Americans our system and our President!
