Birthdays Past

Contributed by LOWMAN613 on Saturday, 12th July 2003 @ 12:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: BirthdayPoems

I can remember those birthdays past,
how we thought we'd have more,
how the time goes so fast,
I wish it was like before,
No cakes to make,
no cards to send,
no gifts to take,
I cant pretend,
I wish you were here to celebrate your day,
but my wish cant be granted,
I can only look to Heaven and say,
'Happy Birthday mom',I chanted,
So many time we celebrated with you,
not really knowing if this was the last,
How I wish those years I could redo,
but now they're memories in the past,
I miss you & those times,
how I think of them today,
the cards with the silly rhymes,
reflecting what I want to say,
So this is the day you would have been 72,
I can still see your face,
how I wish I could just hug you,
a feeling I cant replace,
I will scream to the heavens load & clear,
'MOM,Have a Happy Birthday',
I'll scream it on this day every year,
For I'm thankful for this day!
