An Empty Stage

Contributed by rusty1980 on Friday, 11th July 2003 @ 07:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Life's nothing but An Empty Stage
Oh there's darkness all around
And if this is the way to age
Then they can bring the curtain down

I've seen too many Plays here
But they were all too vague for me
And they left me with a tear
With no place for me to be

As I think about the way it's been
I can see her Face oh so bright
I go back to the day it all began
When she loved me with all her might

But the time it passed so fast
It just broke my heart to see her leave
Now my love's all lost in the past
How I miss her on this long summer's eve

They say I'll forget it all
With the passing shades of time
But I'll wait for her to call
For reasons that just don't rhyme

Now the stage is oh so bare
As my eyes look for her Face
And I recall she's no longer there
For I've lost her in life's Race.
