The Forecast

Contributed by Kimmie_mac on Friday, 11th July 2003 @ 02:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The forecast is starting to look grim,
because I'm on the outside looking in.
To see you with her is tearing me apart,
Like lightning striking my heart.
The day you told me goodbye,
I thought that surely I would die.
I felt like a river raging out of control,
My emotions swirling like a tornado.
I'm so lost in this blinding rain,
As the storm grows stronger and insane.
Like a blizzard your froze my soul,
Because loving you was my only goal.
The rains have let up, the winds died down,
As I am leaving you and this town.
The forecast is calling for less rain,
As each day passes I feel less pain.
The tornado has finally gone by,
And no longer do I have to cry.
The river is now under control,
As I can finally let you go.
The sun is mending my broken heart,
As I slowly make a new start.
No longer am I on the outside looking in,
The forecast is no longer grim.
